INEOS has an exciting opportunity for a Regulatory Specialist to join our INEOS Composites business in Barcelona (Spain)

Reporting to the Product Regulatory Manager monitors regulatory compliance in EMEAI, assists and supports gathering data required for registrations and notifications. Manage Regulatory Affairs together with Product Regulatory Manager, Commercial and Technology team by reviewing compliance of the regional product portfolio. Additionally, you will be responsible for completing product registrations with various national authorities and poison centers, according to local and regional requirements

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

On Product regulatory:

  • Monitor and implement changes in compliance systems for Composites EMEA and Solvents (Marl)
  • Analyse new regulatory requirements and submit required information and documentation. Examples are: 
    • REACH dossier updates
    • CLP art 45 harmonized notification
    • KKIDK pre-registration (Turkey REACH), DUIN (Downstream User Import Notification (GB REACH), etc.), India Reach

On Product safety:

  • Analyze if new suppliers are compatible with already existing SAP raw materials
  • Regional impact analysis for raw material classification/compositional changes (creation of MOC-Management of Changes)
  • Creation/modification of new/existing finished products and updating/release of SDS documentation for EU
  • Approval of new raw materials and new suppliers regarding REACH compliance, compositional information and GHS classification for EU
  • Approve SAP workflow of the new material code creation, new containers material code and extension to other plants

On Compliance System role:

  • Download and implement SAP regulatory Package and share with the global regulatory team/IT Analyst for further actions
  • Uploading the new global regulatory data (Library of Reference Substances and the Regulatory List details on those substances) in EHS SAP module
  • Create new Listed Substances not existing in SAP
  • Assess, map and test rules assessment into SAP system
  • Phrase management (shared task regarding to provide information to IT Analyst for protected phrases)
  • New or modification template (SDS/Label) requests coming from the business or from regulatory requirements (shared task with IT)

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
 

·Level of Education & Experience in General:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in chemistry or chemical engineering.

Basic knowledge of chemical regulations, enforcement, and industry practice relevant to chemical industry, specifically CLP and REACH.

·Technical Skills:

Experience with SAP EHS Module

Experience in the field of Product Regulatory – minimum 1 year of relevant experience with Reach

Excel expert

A plus:

Understanding of the concepts of Product Environmental Footprint declarations, such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), CO2 footprint calculations (PCF) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) ideally with a first exposure to relevant LCA software

Implementation of mass balancing concepts and sustainability certifications

·Behavioural Skills:

Fluent in English (speaking and writing) and preferable one other European language.

Passion for IT interface work, programming, etc.

Fast learner with ability to adjust to changing business priorities.

Excellent verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills.
