Main role purpose:
The post holder is responsible for the inspection, adjustment, and operation of plant equipment to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of EIP, Utility, and EDC Loading in the VDC4 Plant area. They will also be required to carry out first-line maintenance, making the best use of additional skills offered through trained and validated IWP training, and assist in ensuring high levels of plant equipment availability, whilst maintaining SHE standards.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities:
- Ensure plant equipment and operation of utility supplies are operated safely and efficiently and ensure the appropriate analysis checks are completed to support operational processes.
- Carry out checks to ensure the necessary supplies of materials and equipment for operating and process maintenance needs are available.
- Issue Permits to Work and ensure Work Control Sheets are used and updated in line with equipment availability.
- Use analytical diagnosis to detect process and equipment faults and carry out the required corrective action. Develop and promote ideas for continual plant improvements. Maintain plant records in accordance with company and statutory requirements.
- Liaise with the maintenance team for work on the plant and ensure isolations for systems are established to planned timescales. Carry out maintenance work within trained and validated competencies. Submit SAP notifications for recording maintenance work that is outside own ability or capacity.
Key skills & experience:
- NVQ2 (or equivalent) in Process Operations.
- Site Driving Licence.
- Trained and validated in EIP Processes.
- Trained and validated for the Utilities Area.
- Understanding of Runcorn Site Production Integration and services.
- Knowledge of road tanker loading/offloading procedures.
- Self-confident, with the strength of character to challenge people.
- Validated in site procedures, safety instructions, and local operating procedures
- Highly motivated/flexible.
- Good communication skills.
- Trained in analytical procedures.
