About the Oportunity

As a result of an INEOS internal transfer we have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join the team on a Permanent basis. This is a broad and varied role, which with support from the Procurement Assistant is pivotal to ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of Procurement activities at our flagship manufacturing site in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham.

The role will include providing procurement support to the Project Team to complete the build of our state of the art manufacturing facility in Newton Aycliffe whilst also working closely with key stakeholders in Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and more to support Manufacture, Packaging and Distribution of consumer products into major retailers across the UK & Europe.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • Procurement experience from an FMCG or fast paced, high volume light manufacturing environment is highly desirable for this position
  • Fluent in written and verbal English is essential
  • Fluent in German and/or French is highly desirable
  • Degree Qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable
  • Level 3 Qualification such as A-Levels, BTEC National and 3+ years Procurement experience is essential
  • Knowledge and understanding of SAP and MS Excel in a Procurement function is essential

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in project based procurement work
  • Compile RFQ documents and gather information necessary for a successful tender
  • Establish strong relationships with key contacts in Production, Engineering, Warehousing, Finance, Supply Chain and Projects.
  • Create purchase orders and track deliveries, ensuring on time deliveries
  • Ensure payments are made on time and to manage any queries
  • Create and negotiate non-conformities with suppliers
  • Perform audits with selected suppliers
  • Produce procurement strategies to be approved by the Procurement Manager
