Procurement Coordinator

Main role purpose:

The post holder is responsible for ensuring a defined portfolio of goods and services is efficiently managed in line with business requirements and KPIs.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities:

  • Place purchase orders for the defined portfolio of central goods and services to an agreed standard, ensuring full ownership of the transactional end-to-end process in line with best practice.
  • Liaise with suppliers, manufacturing units and procurement colleagues to ensure orders have been accepted and are being safely expedited to ensure goods are received on time in full. Ensure any changes are communicated to all parties with no adverse impact on production.
  • Examine incoming invoices to confirm adherence to INOVYN Delegation of Authority; liaise with the accounts payable team to support issue resolution; and ensure suppliers are paid on time in line with agreed payment terms.
  • Manage and own procurement master data within multiple SAP business systems to ensure stored information is harmonised (where possible) and accurate for reporting purposes.
  • Provide centralised administrative support to the function, including supplier communications, and use business applications (QlikView, SAP, SharePoint) to generate required information to support broader category and function initiatives.

Key skills & experience required:

  • Experience in an operational front-line procurement role within the chemical or manufacturing industry.
  • Confident IT user including Microsoft Office and Outlook. Will need to have (or develop) knowledge of key procurement IT tools e.g. SAP, Qlikview, SharePoint.
  • Good communication skills and able to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences at all levels of an organisation.
  • Able to break down problems and develop logical solutions.
  • Able to ensure that data is accurate and sustainable by reconciling inconsistent data and acting on incomplete/missing data.
  • Able to identify and interrogate key data to assist problem-solving.
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness when dealing with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures.
  • Fluent in English. Other languages would be beneficial.
