Process Engineer  (F/M)

We are looking for a Process Engineer (m/f/d) for the next possible availability. This position has a direct reporting line to the Plant Manager of the whole plant.

Responsibilities/ Accountabilities of the Job:

  • Monitoring / Supervision of the economically optimized process management of all facilities and technical appliances conformable to issued licenses, company related laws and acts as well as internal guidelines and instructions
  • Involvement in quantity, schedule or quality deviations within the production process as well as in deviations from optimal use of raw materials and energy 
  • Updating of internal regulations and operating manuals regarding the asset 
  • Support coordination of all necessary troubleshooting actions 
  • Adjustment of operational activities together with Technical Services Manager and the respective department
  • Brainstorming, elaboration and implementation of asset optimizations
  • Develop and monitor operating performance using key metrics
  • Develop, resource and implement availability improvement strategies
  • Collaboration in implementing of new products / technologies together with Technical Product Managers
  • Provide reliable input on production reporting to INEOS Styrolution EMEA and FC&A

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required, Master’s degree preferred, or comparable degree or comparable professional education
  • Desirable 2-3 years of experience in Maintenance, Production and/or Process Engineering and/or Project Management
  • Knowledge of chemical engineering techniques, esp. extrusion, compounding, conveying etc. 
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations 
  • Hand-on-mentality, enjoys to interfere with shifts operators 
  • Applied engineering and manufacturing management skills, including technical troubleshooting, project engineering, design and project management/execution
  • Basic understanding of business economics:
    •    Budgeting and cost control
    •    Economic analysis in support of business decisions
  • German and English skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office, SAP, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), statistical software, analysis tools such as FMEA and RCFA
  • Results driven with planning, organization and coordination skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Readiness of mind and high level of self-motivation
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing with internal and external customers
