Purpose of the role
- Manage and control overall day to day process operation activity to achieve safe, reliable and efficient operation.
- Manage and control overall day to day operation variable cost to achieve safe, reliable and efficient operation.
Key Results/Accountabilities expected from role
IMS (Integrated Management System)
Implement & assure QEHS policy, documenting, evaluating & improving QEHS and its monitoring.
Safety, Health and Environment (SHE)
- Ensure the implementation of SHE management policy, starting from the availability of documentation on SHE procedures up to the course of the process of SHE management changes and comply with INEOS 20 safety principles and live saving rules.
- Provide engineering support for operation and process safety activities to ensure plant run within safe operating design (Team member on HAZOP, risk assessment)
People
Plan and coordinate operation engineering processes on daily basis to achieve daily production quantity and meet budget.
Plant process and asset monitoring
- Develop operational strategies to achieve production and financial objectives by perform engineering analysis to reduce downtime and outages.
- Evaluate current production activities and make recommendations for improvements by developing best practices to improve production capacity, quality and reliability
- Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
- Identify unsafe operations and practices and make proposal for improvement and working together with process coordinator, process safety Engineer to review/update existing NOL, SOL & SDL.
- Investigate problems, analyze root causes and derive resolutions.
- Responsible to prepare operation report in case of upset condition/interruption, equipment failure and process safety issue.
- Support plant start-up and shutdown to ensure minimum loss of production time and profits
- Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Providing support team with technical support and training to transferring specific know-how to operator in order to develop operator and new operator
- Participate actively in asset care activity.
Key challenges faced on the role
- Plant running with high load with some equipment already in maximum load and equipment reliability issue.
- Achieve variable cost as defined target
Responsibilities:
- Use engineering skills to troubleshoot issues and find resolutions using data driven problem solving.
- Able to develop tools monitoring for existing process, equipment performance and product quality
- Continuous improvement activities related cost, quality & productivity.
- Provide engineering support for production and process safety activities to ensure plant run within safe operating design.
- Ensure that projects are implemented in accordance agreed scope and timeline.
- Broad network with other INEOS group.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering
- Strong Technical skills and process calculation of heat and material balance
- Proficient in using process engineering and design software such as ASPEN plus, ASPEN-HYSYS.
- Strong in data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal with the ability to transfer knowledge to others.
- Good communication in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Good skills on developing report.
- Desire to learn and improve skills on a daily basis operation.
