The Position: Port Facility Security Officer -  This position is responsible for the development, implementation, revision and maintenance of the Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP) that ensures compliance of our Maritime Terminal with applicable provisions of INTERNATIONAL SHIP AND PORT FACILITY SECURITY CODE (ISPS CODE) to enhance the security of our Personnel and the safety of our Terminal assets.

Requirements:

Level of education & Experience in general:

Naval Engineering or Nautical Degree

At least 2 years experience in discharging of petrochemical vessels and gas tankers.

At least 2 years experience in ISO-9001

At least 1 year experience in managing dangerous goods.

Technical skills:

International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS) Certificate 

Advance English Languaje

Microsoft Office

Responsibilities: 

  1. Comply with and enforce the responsibilities, authorities and policies of INEOS Styrolution including, but not limited to: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, GMP, Code of Conduct, SHE Policy, Environmental Policy, Quality Policy, SARI, Golden Rules, 20 Safety Principles, IGGN’s, Clean Sweep, Life Saving Rules, OEA y C-TPAT.
  2. Ensure the fulfilment of the objectives on the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS)
  3. Manages the communication between the Ship Security Officer (SSO) in vessel-land interphase during the discharge operation of bulk raw materials that arrive to our Maritime Terminal
  4. Coordinates check-up routines for safety equipment in order to maintain these in optimum conditions.
  5. Coordinates the bulk truck loading of Styrene Monomer, Acrylonitrile, Butylacrylate, Butadiene, and AMS, based on the existing loading procedure.
  6. Controls the exit passes for the loaded containers (bulk trucks and iso-containers).
  7. Ensures the procedures are kept for corrective and preventive actions to improve security and environmental control of the operation.
  8. Coordinates and performs verification and inspection routines for tanks, pumps, refrigeration equipment, measuring equipment, and others, according to the annual schedule.
  9. Prepares feedback for all personnel in order to improve the performance of the facility protection, in accordance to section 18.2 and 18.3 of the ISPS Code.
  10. Develops skills and promotes best practices for the safety drills and safety exercises in accordance to the annual program of the Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP).

Physical Requirements: 

Must be able to climb ladders and stairs. Working at height ability.

Must be able to work in confined space.

Must be able for walking up to 2 km daily.

Must be able to swim.

Must be able to work under sun.
