Plant Inspector

The Acetyls Business Unit is one of the world's leading manufacturers of acetic acid and its derivatives, and owns & deploys its leading technology in Europe, Asia and US.
 
INEOS Hull Site is the European manufacturing facility for the Acetyls Business Unit and is of significant strategic importance to the Global Business, with a focus on Manufacturing Petrochemicals as well as Research & Technology. Our core product range is Acetic Acid and Acetic Anhydride.

The Plant Inspector is responsible for the preparation, execution and reporting of mechanical pressure equipment inspections to ensure compliance with Statutory requirements and Ineos requirements for Safe, Reliable Operations.

We are looking for someone to join the team who is experienced in managing the inspection portfolio for a specific plant area, competently able to write inspection and test plans, prepares and completes inspections according to schedule and during TAR activities, and demonstrates an aptitude for building strong relationships and delivering to a high standard.   

Essential experience and job requirements

  • Experienced Cat 2 Plant Inspector (Pressure Vessels, Pipework, Tanks, Relief Devices)
  • Hold a minimum HNC in the mechanical discipline
  • Be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of legislation, codes and standards related to mechanical equipment integrity
  • In depth knowledge of Risk Based Inspection
  • A proven track record of strong safety leadership
  • Continually learns and develops the safety and integrity management skills of self and team

  • Builds strong relationships based on trust and honest discussion with a performance bias  
  • Ability to balance conflicting demands in a continuously developing environment
