Job Function

INEOS’ Blending Operator manufactures polyester and vinylester resins.  Resins are transferred into blend tanks, other ingredients are then weighed, dispensed, and mixed into the resin.  The product is sampled and packaged into drums and tankwagons.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Opens valves in piping network and transfers resin from storage tank to blend tank
  • Monitors the transfer of resins with DeltaV control system
  • Charges additives from drums to blend tank using hand trucks, scales, and pumps
  • Samples blend tank and forwards sample to Quality Control for testing
  • Records and confirms material quantities into SAP inventory management ERP
  • Packages finished product into drums using a semi-automated drum filler
  • Operates and troubleshoots process equipment – valves, pumps, filters, mixers, and scales
  • Drives a forklift
  • Maintains spotless housekeeping in work area
  • Participates in team efforts to improve safety, employee satisfaction, quality, and productivity

Essential Qualifications

  • Completion of high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Requires minimal supervision
  • Aptitude for mechanics
  • Ability to read and comprehend SOP’s, batch records and training documents
  • Ability to perform basic math and have basic computer skills
  • Meets physical requirements including walking, standing or sitting for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, climbing, crouching, operating tools, wearing PPE, and wearing a respirator
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Able to pass post-offer physical, drug test and background check

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in blending or other manufacturing environment
  • Experience with SAP inventory management ERP
  • Experience with DeltaV or other Control System
  • Proven team and leadership skills

Job Hours

  • 8 hour swing or night shift, Mon - Fri
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
