INEOS FPS

FPS is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated oil and gas liquid transportation and processing system with a nominal capacity in excess of one million barrels per day serving the central area of the North Sea.

Oil and gas liquids from over 50 offshore fields and St Fergus flow through pipelines into FPS. FPS transports crude oil and gas liquids from offshore and onshore entry points, processes the liquids at Kinneil and redelivers to the customer Forties Blend crude oil at Hound Point and either Raw Gas or fractionated Gas Products at Grangemouth.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Offshore or Onshore Installation manager, the post holder is responsible for performing operations or preventative, breakdown and shutdown maintenance on all Electrical equipment within the INEOS FPS North assets, the FPS landline and Unity offshore installation.

Principle Accountabilities

  • To perform pigging operations at the FPS North Assets.
  • Detailed job planning for all maintenance and repair of all, electrical equipment and related activities.
  • To perform preventive, corrective and diagnostic maintenance on electrical & control systems
  • LV & HV Isolations carried out as per companies electrical procedures.
  • To troubleshoot, repair and test electrical & control ESDV safety systems
  • To perform preventive and emergency maintenance on all equipment on site, as well as during machine scheduled or unscheduled shutdowns.
  • To perform upgrade and retrofitting of new electrical equipment to the existing panels in the field and main control room.
  • To comply with all company Health, Safety and Environment as well as Work Permit, policies and procedures.
  • To input data into CMMS (Maximo) maintenance system, such as work order activities, materials and spares, failure reports and manpower statistics.
  • Respond to breakdowns as directed, carry out and apply effective fault-finding and investigation techniques.
  • Participate in competence program including any multi skilled role in accordance with competency framework.
  • Maintain effective communications with all work colleagues at all levels to ensure team success and efficiency.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

  • Recognised Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent training scheme
  • HNC Electrical Maintenance (post 2009 apprenticeships)
  • NVQ/SVQ Level 3 certification or equivalent in Electrical maintenance
  • Minimum 5 years experience within Petrochemical/oil and gas
  • CompEX (Hazardous areas)
  • Valid BOSIET “Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training”.
  • Valid MIST “Minimum Industry Safety Training”.
  • Knowledge of Maximo
  • Knowledge of permit to work system
  • Positive attitude, self-confident, independent and ability to work on own initiative.
