Operations Engineer – PAYE Contract Opportunity

This is an exciting time to join us at our Grangemouth site, INEOS’ largest manufacturing asset

Having committed to significant investment over the next few years, we now require an Operations Engineer with demonstrable experience within engineering to play a key role in the delivery and support of this growth in our business.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to the shift operating team for the plant area to ensure its integrity, safe and optimised operation within its design operating envelope.
  • Develop, maintain and audit use of all technical and operating information and documentation required for the plant area.
  • Audit Asset operating standards through leading level 1 assurance reviews to ensure operation within Site and Regulatory requirements (RAP, PGI, RBI, OB’s, PSR’s, COMAH, PPC).
  • Develop and manage all process documentation to allow safe operation and release/handback/ recommissioning for all maintenance activities (OI’s, COSHH, release and recomm. procedures).
  • Train operating technician teams and supervisors in revised instructions and procedures to sustain and improve plant performance to match SHE, process safety, volume and efficiency targets.
  • Specify TAR work scope requirements for plant area and lead execution activities to support delivery of Safe, on time and to budget events.
  • Act as Asset Representative for Project activities – setting technical/operational requirements for project and managing interface with asset activities for planning, construction and commissioning.

The successful candidate:

Essential

  • Graduate qualified or five years’ experience top tier COMAH site preferred
  • Proven technical/operational troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams (without line management accountability).
  • Strong and wise decision making skills, both within and out with area of direct expertise.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop supervisor/technician personnel.
  • High level of communication skills, dealing with all levels in the organisation

Desirable

  • Strong knowledge of all relevant Manufacturing disciplines – Mech, I/E, Control, DCS, Maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of Site/Area working practices to facilitate others to support aligned delivery of the short term operating plan.
