The role: The new Model Financial Manager is responsible for all finance and risk activities related to new model procurement and associated Project Budget Controls.

What we are looking for:

  • Manage all finance and risk activities related to Procurement new model and create detailed budgets and forecasts in line with Procurement needs
  • Advise senior management on the financial and business implications to the Procurement division on market fluctuations, project budgetary concerns, supply-chain costs and overall cost-reduction activities.
  • Engage with senior management on the progress of finance-lead initiatives and on seeking investment for Procurement-related business needs.
  • Oversee all relevant financial project targets and timelines related to material development and tooling costs.
  • Engage with Finance to ensure the procurement new model spend process is in line with group expectations
  • Ownership of Procurement’s financial components in new model investment projects from concept through to industrialisation and mass production.
  • Direct the execution of financial transactions for Procurement and ensure they are achieved to a time plan.
  • Manage project cost data on NM programmes for BOM, Supplier Tooling and Development.
  • Support the Procurement and Supply Chain team in developing and delivering the transition strategy for procurement from project to operation.
  • Help drive and deliver all procurement activities of the project phase e.g. through close cooperation with the cost engineers.
  • Work closely with the Engineering, Commercial and Industrialisation to agree future demand plans, materials and equipment.
  • Facilitate MvB with Project Sourcing, Procurement, Finance and Operations.

What you will bring:

  • Extensive experience gained at either a Tier 1/2 automotive supplier or automotive OEM.
  • In-depth understanding of Financial / Accounting best practice to ensure clear interaction with INEOS Finance team.
  • Significant automotive supply chain / procurement know-how gained over a long career in automobile manufacturing and direct knowledge of automotive procurement from concept-through-industrialisation-to-operation.
  • At ease advising senior management and proven experience in building and maintaining senior relationships.
  • Demonstrable strategic procurement experience and or NPI (New Product Introduction).
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivery.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and have effective time management and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good capability with Microsoft Office software.
  • Experience with SAP is desirable, training will be available.
  • English is mandatory and German would be beneficial, but not essential.
  • There will be significant travel involved in the role.
