A. Purpose /Role of the job /: Describe in 1 phrase what contribution the job is expected to make to the organisation’s objectives

Driving the short, long term business development of Ineos-Stryrolution in Automotive China industry through initiate innovative product development, application innovation, and development of new projects and customers.

B. Environment/Context/Complexity of the job: Describe the most important internal and external factors influencing the job  

Working with China Automotive team, Business and Product management and R&D’s global/regional colleagues as well to gain new business in Automotive China market.

Team oriented working attitude is the most important factor influencing the job.

Part of his responsibilities will be calling on new OEMs where Styrolution have had historically a low penetration.   He/She should have working knowledge of Automotive OEM and Automotive Tier hierarchies.

C. Responsibilities/ Accountabilities of the job: Describe the main results expected from the job

Key Result Areas : Business Development in Automotive industry. 

Major Activities : Identify automotive 4W & 2W business development opportunities /Contact to automotive customers (OEM, Tier1) and deliver the solutions to meet their new technical or processing requirements at target costs, through material innovation or application design solutions in line with automotive Industry strategy.  Update new project list monthly. Following automotive projects and handling problem-solving to Tier1 and OEMs.

Outcome : Volume and CM1 developed through new automotive projects

Key Result Areas : Technical assistance and coordination

Major Activities : Provide technical solutions, recommendations, and suggestions in application

development. Deliver/Coordinate technical service and assistance based on customer’s requirements and needs together with China technical service team & Sales   

Outcome : Trouble-shootings. Technical seminars. Marketing intellectuals.   

D. Required profile:

Level of education & Knowledge:

Prefer bachelor’s degree mechanical engineering/automotive engineering or related subjects with application development competencies in the Automotive sector.

Experience in general: 

Familiar with automotive industry.

Technical experience of plastic processing, part specification/approval. 

Familiarity with Asian OEMs and Tiers.   More than five years directly related work experience in Sales, Marketing, or Market Development

Technical skills

Knowledge of OEM material approval processes and test methodology. Above average computer skills with Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
