The Role: We are looking for a Manager Material Flow Design and LSP Contract Management who will ensure that the material flow for all products manufactured is designed and planned and all logistics service providers are contractually set up based on this design to successfully hand over to Supply Chain Operations.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Manage and lead material flow design & LSP contract management team on various locations ensuring coaching and personal development of all team members
- Govern definition and continuous improvement of the material flow design and LSP contract management strategy for Ineos Automotive and set targets to measure its successful execution on regular base
- Initiate, design, manage, implement, and control the material flow design and the Logistics Service Provider strategy definition within SCM, and to integrate it seamlessly into the INEOS business, including In Plant Logistics, IT, Outbound Distribution and After-Sales when needed.
- Responsible for providing support to the LSP management team and steer the department to meet all the agreed targets and KPIs for Cost, Quality, Safety, Environment and Delivery as defined by the business in each financial year.
- Manage external resources (contractors & consultants) supporting the team
- Manage the deployment, alignment and documentation of the agreed safety standards and ensure the engagement within the supply chain functions, LSPs and its successful execution,
- To orchestrate and execute the agreed strategy for all manufacturing plants in line with the agreed budgets, KPI’s and core SLA.
- Whilst respecting sound principles and processes, challenge the traditional automotive supply chain thinking, seek to emulate where appropriate the best practices from high tech and retail industries by adopting digital and e-commerce solutions where commercially viable.
For the Manager – Material Flow Design and LSP Contract Management, we are looking for:
- At least 10+ years Supply Chain and Logistics, with focus on strategic & operational roles and ideally with experience in a management role.
- Strong leadership and people management experience in a pressurised environment, preferred in automotive environment (OEM, Tier-1)
- Experience of working in a 4PL/3PL Operations or Commercial role would be advantageous,
- Demonstrated understanding of the critical supply chain principles. Including transportation, planning, optimizing, carrier management, lean inventory, and customs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet challenging deadlines.
- Create strong cross-functional working relationships that create value through identifying and implementing change.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey new and challenging ideas concisely and with precision to all levels of the business.
- Must be innovative, challenging, and entrepreneurial, believes in continuous improvement and the application of lean principles.
