Purpose of the job:
To deliver sustainable Manufacturing Excellence improvement projects within the operations arena that achieves a positive impact on maintenance, turnaround and/or reliability with a focus on organisation. Contribute to cross functional/discipline improvement programmes as a specialist in maintenance, reliability and turnarounds.
Ensure that applicable and industry good/best practice methodologies are applied and identify and act on technical, mindset & behaviour and performance management opportunities.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the delivery of step change improvement projects in line with S.H.E requirements, the Company's Road Map schedule and objectives in the defined perimiter.
- Lead the diagnostic/analysis of maintenance and/or reliability processes/organisation and its functional role within the site context.
- Ensure the effectiveness of the sites’ organisation within the maintenance and reliability context.
- Lead a number of projects to provide continuous improvement and sustained optimisation and/or reduction of costs, increased effectiveness and/or increased efficiency of maintenance and reliability activities.
- Share and develop good practice knowledge and build competencies for maintenance and/or reliability within the site organisations.
Qualifications and experience:
- Engineering (Mechanical/Elec/programming) degree/background.
- A minimum of 10 years' post graduate experience is necessary in the chemical sector, with a minimum of 6 years' in maintenance management roles (2 of which in people management).
- Proven experience in maintenance management.
- Proven experiences in leading Manufacturing Excellence business change projects.
- Proven track record at delivering Manufacturing Improvement and Project Management in an international environment.
- Proven experience showing management of key concepts relating to ideal/benchmark asset utilisation rate and other typical industrial KPIs vs actual and levers to identify opportunities.
