For our office/site in Cologne we are looking for a
Manager Site Scheduling & Logistics (F/M)
Responsibilities/Accountabilities of the job:
- Production planning in alignment with Sales and Operations Planning (interface with regional SCM department)
- Ordering and expediting of raw materials and packaging materials
- On-site inventory management of raw materials / intermediates / end-products
- Transport management and disposition for intermediates / end-products
- Steering and supervision of 3rd party logistics service provider Katoen Natie (end-product packaging + loading)
- Ensure both cost control (adherence to budget) and cost leadership (focus on driving out costs). Develop, resource and implement cost reduction strategies as well as value generation activities (volumes, quality, etc)
- Supervise, coach and mentor direct reports
- Staff appropriately, ensure succession planning and performance culture within the group
- Communicate and support company and site strategy / objectives within the department
Required profile:
- University degree (engineering / commercial) or equivalent experience in supply chain and logistics management
- Good experience in multiple aspects of site logistics, in particular S&OP, warehouse management, inventory management, expediting
- General understanding of chemical plant operation
- Experience with managing direct reports
- Good experience with SAP and MS Office applications
