Your role: The job holder is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and manages across locations the trainings and coachings of employees and managers on Quality methods as well as conducts problem-solving on top issues set as priority by management. He/She is responsible for the continuous development and improvement of problem-solving skills within INEOS Automotive during product development phase and series phase as one of the key factors for a successful product launch.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Leading a team of 8D and SixSigma experts
  • Method lead of FEP organization within INEOS Automotive across all locations
  • Functional lead of SixSigma organization across all business units and across all locations
  • Defining, implementing, maintaining, and improving the FEP strategy, processes, organization and IT system on problem solving in alignment with internal/external business partners• Lead for defining, aligning, implementing, training and improving of quality methods required to release series production (e.g., MSA for safety-relevant characteristics in production)
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and improving of FEP IT Tools (e.g., 8D Problem Solving System)
  • Lead all QM relevant IT Projects (up to 20 key users and more than 2 ESP)
  • Plan, control and report IT budget for projects and series phase (between 500k and 1,5 Mio. € p.a.). Identify potentials for cost savings during project and serial phase.
  • Responsible for budget
  • Responsible for employee development

Leading Lean Six Sigma and projects:

  • Manage the Quality Management Learning and Development provision to ensure the sustainable problem-solving and therefore cost savings in line with business demand
  • Leading the green belt organization and trained trainer (multipliers) within INEOS Automotive.
  • Leading high impact Six Sigma/Quality Improvement projects cross-functionally during product development phase and series phase.
  • Leading the green belt organization within INEOS automotive by assuring achievement of targets.
  • Support embedding the Automotive culture, values, and behaviors across the organization.
  • Define, align and lead a process with green belts and trained multipliers across all locations. (e.g. internal exchange and support, lessons learnt, knowledge database, need for further qualifications)

Acting as Lean Six Sigma and 8D Expert:

  • Provides data analysis and translation of data/statistics into tangible business decisions using data modeling and statistical analysis tools and methods
  • Applying Lean Six Sigma tools (e.g. 8D, Shainin, DMAIC, DOE) and techniques to customer issues, design and manufacturing processes.
  • Identifies the right problem-solving approach (e.g. Six Sigma vs. Lean Management) for fast and sustainable implementation of countermeasures.
  • Analyzes and identify process improvement opportunities and partner with key stakeholders to scope and ensure alignment with strategic priorities
Train the organization:
  • Define, maintain and improve training concepts on problem solving techniques. Create a rollout project in alignment with business partners.
  • Define and align with line manager and business partners the right training needs of employees according to job descriptions, current problem-solving performance and needs from product and process phase (e.g. ramp-up phase).
Create transparency and define actions:
  • Create transparency of the critical path of trainings and/or problem-solving topics to hit the agreed timelines and due dates.
  • Track and report aligned KPIs (e.g. problem solving lead time, benefits, training status, etc.)
  • Responsible for a validation and vulnerability management with focus on stability of quality relevant processes and its impact to product safety (e.g., interfaces/data transfer between Engineering systems and QM systems) in alignment with IT.
What we are looking for:
  • Technical degree in Engineering, Statistics or Business Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years experience in Quality Management and in Automotive Industry
  • 3-5 years experience in the field of automotive new product projects (either in strategy, engineering, operations or quality)
  • 3-5+ or more years Six Sigma experience leading and coaching various projects of significant value, length and complexity in a design and manufacturing organization.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Certified Lean (Manufacturing) Consultant may be advantageous
  • Successful leader and influencer with demonstrated impacting change at all levels of an organization
  • Experience in designing and implementing training programs
  • High trainer/coach/mentor skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to create new quality standards and project KPIs
  • High technical understanding in automotive industry
  • High team skills
