The Role: We are looking for a talented NPM Procurement Manager who brings proven success in their role. You will be leading a team of 3-5 buyers and be responsible for all associated material groups and demands of the respective stakeholders. You will also be responsible for own material groups as a Lead buyer as well as lead the team to achieve the defined results and targets. You will also derive an appropriate cross-functional sourcing strategy together with the associated buyers. Based on this strategy, you will lead and/or conduct all sourcing and supplier management activities such as RFQ, supplier selection, contract negotiations and supplier performance evaluation.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead a team of 3-5 specialised buyers in different countries
  • Feel accountable for all associated material groups, the own ones as well as the ones of the global team members
  • Manage all global procurement activities related to the assigned categories
  • Conduct RFQ´s, lead supplier nomination processes, negotiations and cross functional sourcing decisions for all demands of the assigned categories of Procurement Non-Production Material
  • Support the identification and alignment of future demands of the assigned stakeholder categories on a global basis.
  • Develop and implement an effective supplier base and partnerships to create a reliable and long-term source of supply. Monitoring of the engineering service provider supply market - create and maintain a landscape of appropriate partners categorized by competencies and internal customers.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with stakeholder departments on management level, to provide feedback, optimize communication with buyers and facilitate supplier development
  • Identify, evaluate and define countermeasures for risks associated with the assigned categories
  • Constantly observe the supply market regarding changes and trends that affect the assigned category strategy
  • As part of the wider NPM management, take over the responsibility of optimizing the general NPM process landscape.
  • Lead strategic projects within Procurement NPM on a case-by-case basis

What you will bring:

  • Direct experience in Procurement Non-Production Material gained in manufacturing industry and familiarity in being in a leadership position would be beneficial
  • Strong personality with the ability to lead a group of specialised buyers in different countries; ability to define clear targets and to motivate people
  • Highly analytical skills
  • Excellent demonstrable strategic procurement experience and very good negotiation skills
  • Experience in building and maintaining a supplier relationship
  • Demonstrable ability to prioritise tasks and have effective time management and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English.
