INEOS FPS

FPS is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated oil and gas liquid transportation and processing system with a nominal capacity in excess of one million barrels per day serving the central area of the North Sea.

Oil and gas liquids from over 50 offshore fields and St Fergus flow through pipelines into FPS. FPS transports crude oil and gas liquids from offshore and onshore entry points, processes the liquids at Kinneil and redelivers to the customer Forties Blend crude oil at Hound Point and either Raw Gas or fractionated Gas Products at Grangemouth.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the post holder is responsible for performing preventative, breakdown and shutdown maintenance on all electrical equipment within the INEOS FPS Kinneil asset.

Principle Accountabilities

  • To perform preventive, corrective and diagnostic maintenance of the sites HV and LV electrical equipment including switchgear, transformers, motors, VSDs and Ex equipment.
  • To perform emergency maintenance and fault finding on all electrical equipment on site and have the ability to resolve issues within a specified timescale.
  • Carry out electrical isolations on the site LV systems
  • To comply with Ineos FPS’ Safety, Health and Environment standards and Control of Work policies and procedures.
  • To input data into CMMS (Maximo) maintenance system, such as work order activities, materials and spares, failure reports and manpower statistics.

Qualifications, knowledge and Skills

  • HNC Electrical engineering
  • Minimum 5 years experience within Petrochemical/oil and gas
  • Experience of being electrically authorised in previous roles
  • CompEx – Modules Ex01-04
  • Knowledge of the Electricity at Work Regulations
  • Knowledge of Electrical Safety Rules from previous roles
  • Knowledge of a CMMS system eg. Maximo
  • Knowledge and practical experience of applying industry standards
  • Positive attitude, self-confident, independent and ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work additional hours including night shifts to support plant as and when required.
