About The Role
The Maintenance Clerk provides a wide range of administrative support for the Plant 1 Maintenance Department and bargaining unit employees including payroll input and verification. This is a salary non-exempt day shift position.
Responsibilities include:
- Adherence to all SHE policies and procedures and INEOS Pigments’ Safety Principles and Life Saving Rules
- Administrative tasks to support the smooth and efficient operation for the Maintenance Department
- Maintain maintenance overtime lists and perform call-outs, distribute OT lists to supervision and PMC’s
- Send updated call out schedule and hours to bargaining unit personnel
- Enter bargaining unit payroll into SAP; ensure accuracy and respond to inquiries
- Data entry into respective Excel, SAP and other programs
- Review weekly time cards for accuracy and enter data into SAP
- Record employee data for tracking and reporting such as attendance, overtime, and paid time off
- Process salary overtime
- Train and re-train personnel on plant call-outs
- Post Mechanical and I&E job bids – assign & award; notify supervisors
- Schedule vacation weeks/days, personal holidays for bargaining unit
- Fill shift vacancies when necessary, assign and notify supervision
- Assist training dept. and schedule all training for maintenance bargaining unit personnel
- Answer contract language issues for grievances, bypasses
- Participate in new hire orientation
- Provide HR information for bargaining unit on outstanding attendance awards
- Update Maintenance Guidelines, ISO Documents and I&E Test Methods and distribute for review and approval via SmartSolve prior to the due dates
- Confirm and TECO Preventative Maintenance work orders (WO) in SAP
- Maintain employee files, welding continuity, crane usage and blanket orders
- Update and issue wage assignment roster
- Track apprentice training hours – create spreadsheet, revise and issue monthly
- Track safety meeting attendance and report to Safety Department
- Create purchase requisitions, receipt goods and track monthly accruals
- Other duties as assigned
About You
You should possess:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Minimum of three years’ experience in an administrative or payroll role
- Knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment or other technical industry
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of payroll systems and SAP
- Administrative office certification a plus
