Main role purpose:
The post holder ensures the optimum Road Transport Service for customer orders, making recommendations for the best solution and assisting in the satisfactory resolution of complaints and non-conformances.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities:
- Ensure a constant focus on SHE when managing transport requirements, particularly when a significant change is required.
- Be the focal point for the Customer Service team when placing shipment orders to identify the proper service, understand transport requirements and recommend the best transport options available so that customer needs are met on-time and in-full.
- Make optimum use of SAP and other TMS for transport planning and processing, ensuring all transport is loaded on time.
- Establish good working relationships with haulier transport coordinators to ensure an effective response to Customer Service transport needs/enquiries.
- Analyze transport shipments data to help take the right decisions in the market.
Key skills & experience required:
- Fluent in English and German; other languages such as French, Spanish, Italian or Dutch is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Transport market knowledge.
- Capable of working autonomously, with multi-tasking ability.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Knowledge of SAP system.
- Able to work in a multicultural team.
- Able to share, communicate and contribute to an effective team.
- Able to work in a dynamic and demanding environment where results matter.
