Main role purpose:
The post holder leads the management of Legionella (and other SHE) controls, supporting the Runcorn Site assets and providing technical guidance and assessment.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities:
- Responsible for keeping the Legionella risk assessments and water hygiene audits up to date.
- Manage actions and support the plant teams in ensuring legal compliance is achieved.
- Provide technical input to all water hygiene and quality control periodic reviews, including the provision of training.
- Assist in the implementation and management of Ionising Radiation through audit and test.
- Support the programme of building fire risk assessments and development, review and management of COSHH Assessments.
Key skills & experience:
- Educated to ONC level or equivalent.
- Thorough understanding of Legionella controls aligned to HSE ACOPs.
- Knowledge of the application of water regulations including cooling towers, domestic water systems and water chemistry.
- Analytical experience with a minimum of 5 years experience working in an industrial environment.
- High concern for standards with keen attention to detail.
- Proactive and flexible.
