Key Account Manager Automotive EMEA (F/M)
Organisation context and job purpose
Management of selected key accounts in EMEA mainly in France and UK, within a sales group.
Responsibilities and accountabilities
Responsible for managing selected key accounts within a sales group, e.g. customer contact maintenance, selling conditions negotiation, coordination of customer visits, building up a relationship management system, business development through project acquisition / follow-up.
Joint responsibility for results (volume, turnover contribution margin) on a régional level in the context of the agreed targets. Networking with other regions on interrégional customers.
Development of a customer plan and strategy, defining and coordinating joint development projects with customers, agreeing delivery terms and quality standards, préparation for important negotiations
Leading the customer team (régional and country account managers, inside sales, technical service) by implementing the defined automotive strategy: Targets agreement, global meetings to exchange and consolidate global activities, transfer of "best practice" solutions between régions.
Carrying out operational sales tasks, e.g. coordination and implementation of régional negotiation and pricing décisions in relation to agreed price bands and profit objectives, concluding framework agreements based on agreed targets. Project management in ail régions (business coordination, project engineering).
Project management and follow up.
Contract management (Sales agreement, NDA, quality agreement, etc.).
Information exchange - particularly in relation to product information and collaboration with marketing units.
Regular contact with customer senior management level, organising cross-business innovation events and identifying opportunités for coopération.
Regular reporting on key visits/projects/results.
Skills & Knowledge required
Education/Experience
Degree chemical/economic engineer
Proven sales experience in the automotive sector and plastics industry
Knowledge about market intelligence, CRM, price and quality management
Skills/Competencies
Customer focus, entrepreneurial spirit and persuasiveness
Target focus and performance orientation
High level of communication skills and empathy
Team skills
Very good language skills both written and verbal in French and English
Project Management
Strong knowledge on plastics and/or automotive industry
