Junior Accountant

Role and Organisation Context:

INEOS is a global manufacturer of petrochemicals. It comprises 36 businesses; each with a major chemical company heritage. INEOS’s production network spans throughout the world, 194 sites across 29 countries, generating an annual turnover of around $60 billion.

Quattro Central team is a new team set-up following the combination of 4 INEOS Businesses together. We are looking for a Junior Group Accountant who will be responsible for implementing and improving transactional processes, whilst maintaining financial records for 6 holdings companies and providing financial support to produce the monthly/quarterly/annual Group reporting.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Processing a range of financial transactions into accounting system;
  • Processing of payments into bank system;
  • Bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation;
  • Preparation of cash forecast for Quattro Corporate entities
  • Preparation of monthly management reporting of Quattro Corporate entities
  • Assisting with completion of investor queries;
  • Assisting with preparation of periodic management accounts;
  • Assisting with preparation of quarterly investor reports;
  • Assisting with preparation of audited annual accounts;
  • Assisting with year-end and audit queries;
  • Daily interactions with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date corporate financial information
  • Be a recognised team member among the Quattro Central team providing sound information and support to other team members.

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills – necessary to perform the job:

  • Part-qualified accountant or fully qualified AAT (level 4) with at least two years’ experience working within a practice

Technical Skills:

  • Computer literate along with the ability to use various accounting packages such as SAGE
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

Behavioural Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • To be self-motivated, willing to work efficiently under pressure and able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional attention to detail
