About the Role
 
While working in a chemical plant environment, your main duties will include installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and instrument controls for the safe and efficient operations of the plant. You will proactively test, repair, and upgrade electrical or instrumentation systems throughout the plant. You will interface with personnel in various departments while performing your daily duties and provide shift coverage. You will also assist other crew members and teams. This position is considered a safety critical role.
 
Responsibilities include:

• Safely and efficiently maintain/repair manufacturing and utilities equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and process. Report deviations, equipment failures, and hazards; and assist in plant investigations and problem resolutions.
• Able to use company system to obtain spare parts for equipment repairs, and complete any documentation / reports as required.
• Participate and successfully complete training and development activities. Provide on–the–job training for other maintenance personnel as required.
• Participate in team projects. Identify and share continuous improvement ideas to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and process improvements and cost reduction.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, display safe working practices in all duties and identify, correct and report hazardous situations.
• Establish and share maintenance best practices.
• Complete reports and documentation accurately as required.
• Review, comprehend and follow all Departmental rules, policies, and guidelines.
• Must adhere to the INEOS Pigments Process Safety & Behavioral Safety Principles and Life Saving Rules.
• Other duties as required or assigned.


About You

It is expected that you will:
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess a minimum of five (5) years industrial or equivalent experience in electrical.
• Possess experience in electronic and pneumatic instrument installation and calibration, including wiring of electrical motors and electrical machine controls.
• Have a general working knowledge of chemical/industrial equipment function and regulatory requirements including plant shutdowns.
• Must be physically fit to perform the essential job functions.
• OSHA 30 hr. General Industry Safety Certificate is preferred.
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
• Possess a high degree of Electrical and Mechanical aptitude.

Schedule/Hours
 
This is a salaried non-exempt position which may be either day or 12-hour, rotating shift.
