IT Director O&P UK, FPS, Petroineos Refining (Competitive Salary and Benefits)

Having committed to significant investment over the next few years, we now require an IT Manager with relevant experience to play a key role in the delivery and support of this growth in our business.

Job Purpose

Utilise wide business knowledge, understanding of business priorities and extensive experience in IT and finance to excel against the following responsibilities:-

  • Define & implement IT strategy & policies, plan, lead and operate IT services to the business at a level and cost set by the business, while contributing to the business EBITDA targets by tightly controlling costs. IT services covers all parts of IT including desk top, LAN, WAN, telecoms, application support, SAP and cyber security and are essential elements that enable the business to operate and meet its financial objectives. This also includes leading all IT projects of the business and ensuring the IT strategy aligns with the INEOS Group IT policies.
  • Responsible for managing regional operations, maintenance of and enhancements to SAP & related applications for O & P UK, Petroineos Refining,  Petroineos Trading and INEOS FPS businesses, with targets on tight control of ongoing costs.
  • O&P UK, Petroineos Refining and FPS businesses represent a sizable part of the Ineos group (10%).
  • IT is a critical component to the ongoing plant reliability and commercial performance of the businesses.
  • Cost management of €15m annual IT budget across Grangemouth, Lavera and SAP.
  • Ownership of a number of external contracts for IT service provision including SAP hosting.
  • Ongoing changes to business requirements relating a number of IT projects from large acquisitions to minor application development.
  • Conflicting business requirements need to be effectively managed over multiple countries, businesses, sites and applications.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Develop and deliver an IT Strategy for INEOS O&P UK, Petroineos Refining & INEOS FPS which achieves long and short term business HSE, cyber security, manufacturing, financial, commercial, logistics and purchasing goals.
  • Ensure this strategy aligns with INEOS Group IT policies.
  • Control IT costs to achieve business targets and comply with accounting standards
  • Operate and sustain IT systems and services which achieve business goals for availability, reliability, security, functionality and cost while meeting the growing needs for digital security and legislative compliance.
  • Develop, assess and propose IT improvement projects which match business goals for growth, productivity and value.
  • Develop and sustain an IT organisation capable of delivering short and long term strategic goals.
  • Develop, operate and sustain a SAP & related applications service for Petroineos and FPS to achieve strategic and tactical goals.
  • Benchmark INEOS IT performance and implement good practice, appropriate standards and assurance processes to achieve strategic IT goals and ensure alignment across the Ineos group where applicable.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

Level of Education & Experience in General

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in IT management including project management.
  • Demonstrated skills in managing costs including contract negotiations.
  • Experience in 3rd party service & contract management
  • Track record in change management.
  • Recognised qualification in IT discipline preferred.

Technical skills

  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure including desktop support , LAN and WAN
  • Knowledge of IT applications including SAP
