Infrastructure Team Leader with relevant experience to play a key role in the delivery and

Support of this growth in our business.

Job Purpose: 

To deliver effective infrastructure support services on behalf of FPS, O&P UK and Petroineos

Businesses. To ensure that the IT Infrastructure Team align and support delivery of IT

Strategy, Global Cyber Security Policies and Guidelines

Accountabilities: 

Service Delivery

  • Deliver IT Strategy in alignment with Petroineos, O&P UK and FPS business goals.
  • Manage a team of IT resources (internal and external) to deliver the agreed level of
  • support for the infrastructure environment in a cost effective manner
  • Develop, motivate and appraise line-managed and staff to ensure that skills, competencies and experiences match the current and future needs.
  • Makes a positive contribution to team successes through implement and managing a
  • continuous improvement methodology to enhance overall team performance
  • Demonstrates leadership in compliance by ensuring that appropriate IT standards or
  • processes are created or updated on a regular basis
  • Provide KPI metrics to ensure that infrastructure service delivery meets the agreed

Service Level Agreements

  • Documenting and managing any operational support exceptions to ensure that uninterrupted service disruptions are kept to a minimum and within the agreed SLAs
  • Highlighting any significant system issues to the IT Site Services Manager & Cyber
  • Security, Risk & o365 Site Manager where appropriate
  • Manage third party contracts & relationships with suppliers and outsourced partners to meet their agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Providing infrastructure input & support for small, medium & large sized projects tasks, working in conjunction with the Infrastructure & Applications Project Manager
  • Ensuring that operational system changes follow IT change management processes

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

Qualifications & Experience

  • Significant experience in a multi-discipline Infrastructure Support experience
  • Proven experience of leading technical staff with strong organisational and change management experience in an IT Infrastructure environment
  • Ability to work within a team, demonstrate initiative, good customer service skills and
  • work to timescales with a flexible approach
  • Good interpersonal communication skills. Proven ability to mentor and train less
  • experienced staff, take responsibility, make decisions with information available and
  • demonstrate leadership when required
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritise & delegate work to meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities and work under pressure to tight timescales.
  • Hands on and hands off problem solving abilities
  • Experience of developing infrastructures
  • Experience of developing, implementing and maintaining technical standards and
  • procedures

Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience of developing, implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting WAN, LAN and related networking infrastructures including significant experience of Routers,
  • Switches, Hubs, TCP/IP, Firewalls, Internet and related technologies
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019, Active Directory Domain

Administration

  • Administration, management, and maintenance of a Microsoft SCCM environment -
  • Knowledge of packaging, testing and deployment of software and updates as
  • required across the enterprise, creating and maintaining standard up to date desktop
  • image(s), client and server patching using WSUS and SCCM
  • Comprehensive track record working with VMWare technologies and architectures
  • Backup and High Availability (Veeam Desirable)
  • Hardware (HP, Aruba, HPE 3PAR StoreServ 8000, StoreOnce Backup )
  • Network and Server Security/Management
  • Cloud Infrastructure exposure (Azure Desirable)
  • Powershell scripting/automation
  • Desirable Certification MCSE (or equivalent role based certification), VCP, HPE
  • Storage Networking, HPE 3PAR StoreServ
  • Team Leader Responsibilities
  • Proven Track Record in managing a team, providing technical direction on a daily basis
  • Engaging with wider IT Team regarding delivery of operational tasks and cyber security incident responses
  • Engaging with business users to clarifying business requirements
  • Engaging with project manager to agree team priorities and ensure that resources are available to support project delivery
  • Responsible for managing documentation, including data standards and procedures;
  • Written & spoken English language skills are essential
  • Speaking with hardware & firmware/software suppliers to resolve technical issues and communicating with end users to resolve issues
  • Planning & Coordinating Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly team meetings and performance reviews

  • Previous experience with managing people
  • Ability to handle multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously (written & verbal)
