Main job purpose:
The post holder builds and dismantles chemical plant equipment and carries out associated activities to prescribed processes so that production KPIs are met.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities:
- Dismantling/stripping and re-building equipment to exacting quality standards and consistency.
- Installation of equipment as well as general work on the plant.
- Checking the quality of coatings and pressure testing.
- Grit blasting, washing, degreasing and other manual tasks.
Key skills & experience required:
- GCSE equivalent.
- Able to demonstrate a high commitment to safety, health and environmental standards.
- Experience in using hand tools and lifting equipment.
- Self-managing with a high degree of independence.
- Team player with a flexible approach; prepared to work longer shifts and weekends to suit production needs.
- Mechanical skills (desirable).
- Team leader experience.
- Physically fit with an excellent attendance record.
- MUST BE A NON-SMOKER.
