Purpose of the job:
The HR/Payroll Administrator will work as a key member of the Human Resources Team as Administrator. The role works very closely with all members of the HR team, especially the HR Advisor/Payroll Supervisor. This role is responsible for providing support to the HR Director and other HR Team Members. The HR/Payroll Administrator will be required to work closely with other HR professionals. Attention to detail coupled with strong analytical skills is essential in this role. This position will serve as the backup for the HR Advisor/Payroll Supervisor when needed.

Provide payroll support to Oligomers MV, Oligomers Chocolate Bayou & GAS/SPEC. Provide administrative support to the HR team in the areas of benefits & salary administration.
External factors:
Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local laws and compliance reporting. Assist the team with retaining talent and keeping the requisite skills necessary to remain competitive in our industry.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Develop deep understanding of Human Capital Management System - INEOS payroll processes and systems. Workday experience a plus.
Provide Finance with payroll funding numbers; as well as general ledger files each pay period.
Provide accurate monthly Management Information reports from Workday (absence/overtime/man hours/occurrences etc.)
Perform and audit transactional payroll processing activities – add, change personnel records to include promotions, transfers, salary adjustments, reorganizations, special payments, payroll deductions, hours and earnings entries.
Act as backup for HR Advisor/Payroll Supervisor during vacation and absences.
Process and audit all payroll entries and results. Process benefit and other vendor invoices. Communicate directly with employees on payroll and benefit issues.
Assists department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all company employees.
Administer the Employee Service Award Program.
Provide support to Finance by providing necessary payroll numbers for monthly agency inquiries and other various annual reporting needs.
Other administrative tasks and projects as necessary.
Skills & Knowledge Required
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- At least 5 years HR/payroll experience
- Certified Payroll Professional preferred
- Human Capital Management experience preferred (Workday)
- Proficient with Microsoft office programs preferred. Including excellent excel skills which integrates skilful knowledge of pivot tables, V look-up, creating formulas and utilizing other MS office products.
