Job Purpose

To monitor, manage and provide recommendation to reduce the risk to the ill health of individuals from the working environment at Ineos O&P UK, including Ineos Chemicals Grangemouth Limited (ICGL) and Ineos Infrastructure Grangemouth Limited (IIGL).

Principle Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain specific Health and Hygiene standards within the Grangemouth Management System (GMS) to enact all legislative requirements, and recommended good practices,
  • Identify, appraise and support the implementation of solutions to control health and hygiene risks associated with both routine operations and non-routine activities (e.g. TAR, project and maintenance tasks).
  • Act as the ‘competent person’ for the discipline, to organise, control and influence the relevant aspects of the Grangemouth businesses /Regulator interface, to defend the interests of all Ineos O&P UK businesses .
  • Represent the business on national / professional groups (e.g. CEFIC, CONCAWE, BOHS, HSE) to protect the company interests by influence on policies and standards.
  • Create, develop and maintain hazard profiles for manufacture products and intermediates
  • Guide procurement in the management of chemical delivers and product collection to ensure compliance with regulatory and INEOS requirements.

Qualifications, knowledge and Skills

  • Graduate  / Post Graduate qualifications in Occupational Hygiene
  • Membership to Faculty of Occupational Hygiene or equivalent
  • Broad understanding of the Occupational Hygiene industry with practical experience
  • Desirable if experienced in Hand Arm + Whole Body Vibration Assessments, COSHH Risk Assessments, Legionella Risk Assessments, EMF Assessments, Occupational Noise, radiation.
