The Role: Head of Sales and Distribution

The Head of Sales and Distribution is required to lead the sales operation and distribution strategy and ongoing evolution based on the company’s business vision & commercial strategy and in line with the product portfolio and defined brand guidelines. The role is responsible for leading and managing the global framework for network development and retail operations programme in partnership with the wider Commercial Team alongside Heads and the Regional Function Managers. The development of the global Sales Operations framework; working in partnership with Regional Heads, the S&OP and Quality Assurance functions plus the global outbound logistics team. In addition the role manages the delivery of the IAL Customer Journey, Customer Experience, Customer Services and Customer Satisfaction programmes.

Duties of the Head of Sales and Distribution:

  • Define, develop and implement sales & distribution strategies designed to achieve overall business objectives and financial targets, including predictability of the business, both in terms of building the foundation/business to delivery the full Sales & Distribution strategy globally
  • Management of retail finance programs, Network Development, Logistics, Fleet and Used Vehicle strategy alongside the regional teams globally
  • Responsible for the Sales & Distribution budget
  • Selection and implementation of enabling technologies, including CRM, e-Commerce platforms, Partner Portal, Transport Management, PowerBI reporting
  • Oversee a robust set of standards, in line with the brand values, for all sales and after-sales conduits
  • Manages the delivery of the IAL Customer Journey, Customer Experience, Customer Services and Customer Satisfaction programmes

For our Head of Sales and Distribution we are looking for:

  • Extensive experience in automotive sales and marketing with a Global OEM/Automotive industry
  • Strong commercial acumen with management skills
  • Ability to work in a scale up organisation with a positive, flexible, solution-drive attitude
  • Results-oriented with strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize multiple objectives while meeting aggressive deadlines and financial targets
  • Values that reflect INEOS and Grenadier brand values, with ability to inspire the team when appointed
