The Role: Head of PR (12 month Fixed Term, Maternity Cover)

The Head of PR leads the business’s relationships with the press, and is responsible for the development and promotion of brand and product image to our target media across the automotive, lifestyle and business segments. In addition the role is responsible for internal communications, including contribution to the development of INEOS Group comms strategy as it pertains to the automotive business.

Duties of the Head of PR:

  • Manage and lead the global PR plan for build-up/pre-launch, launch and post-launch periods for Grenadier and other future products, ensuring seamless integration with marketing and social media communications and aligning with all areas of the business
  • Responsible for International PR communications, driving the global PR strategy, managing global regional PR managers to ensure we build brand awareness and aid sales
  • Developing INEOS Automotive's external facing consumer media messaging, including timing and sensitivities
  • Maximise positive press coverage in agreed target markets and audience profiles, building relationships with key journalists in traditional and digital media.
  • Set objectives and manage the inhouse PR team plus our agency partners in the UK/regions

For our Head of PR we are looking for:

  • Senior PR experience with well-established brands, either in-house or agency-side.
  • Automotive/OEM experience essential
  • Pan-European or global media experience essential.
  • Demonstrated senior stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Current contacts with sources in the business, automotive and lifestyle media is paramount
  • Have excellent judgment and be able to make wise decisions, even when faced with ambiguity
  • Strong budget and agency management and experience
  • Up-to-date knowledge with PR best practice and how it integrates with other marketing communications for best results
