Group Communications Manager - Charities and Internal Comms

Purpose of the job

We are  looking for an experienced communications specialist to join us for an 18 month Fixed Term Contract to deliver strategic communications programmes across our charitable activities to help build awareness and understanding of these initiatives. The role will be part of the Group Communications Team and will be exposed to our work across our industrial businesses and sport.

Alongside our consumer brands, we’ve become well known in recent years for our support of a range of exciting sports- but are less known for our charitable initiatives promoting public health and wellbeing, and supporting the communities around our sites.

 

Accountabilities of the job

  • Plan and deliver strategic communications and marketing in support of our charitable initiatives working closely with the individual communications and project teams with a focus on:
    • The Daily Mile
    • The INEOS Oxford Institute
    • Forgotten Forty
    • INEOS Community Fund
    • Conservation projects in Iceland and Africa
  • Support with the delivery of events for our charitable initiatives
  • Work alongside our social media, PR, and digital agency to tell the story of our charitable initiatives so as to help grow awareness and understanding of both the initiatives and INEOS’ investment in them
  • Feed into wider Group communications and align activity to deliver the best results for INEOS
  • Ensure the effective administration of the INEOS Community Fund, working with the Charities Board to make decisions on the allocation of funding, reporting of grants and delivering internal and external communications around the grants
  • Work alongside the Group Communications Team to deliver an effective internal communications programme
  • Support the Group Communications Team on the management of the INEOS brand internally

 

Required profile:

  • 5+ years of communications and marketing experience, ideally with knowledge of the charities sector.
  • Experience of running internal communications programmes desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Integrated communications planning. Event organisation. Social media management. Digital marketing, including websites/ social media/ email marketing. IT Skills. Excellent writing skills.
  • Behavioural skills: Commitment to deliver results. Strong self-motivation. Effective at building relationships. Strong Influencing skills. Capable problem-solver. Flexible approach to work. Ability to react quickly and be flexible to changing arrangements.

 

The role will be based at our offices in Knightsbridge, London with regular UK and international travel required.
