An exciting opportunity to provide a full financial and management accounting service to the Compounds Aycliffe site, including direct management of the finance team, and leading the Credit Control management processes across the wider Compounds Group.
INEOS Compounds is one of the leading manufacturers in Europe of PVC Compounds. It is at the forefront of PVC compounding technology, incorporating more than 50 years of manufacturing excellence in a comprehensive range of products.
The INEOS Compounds business comprises 3 operating sites in the UK, Switzerland and Swede with each site having its own finance team and processes. The Newton Aycliffe site is the largest in the Compounds Group and represents c.70% of the business (based on EBITDA).
The Finance Manager role will report to the Group Finance Manager of INEOS Compounds. The role has full responsibility of all financial aspects of the site, both in terms of transactional processing and reporting, and also regarding internal controls. The role is also responsible for all VAT/Intrastat/HFM and statutory reporting for the site.
Lead all financial and management accounting for the Aycliffe site.
- Responsible for accurate preparation of financial results and analysis to the INEOS Compounds Group Finance Manager on a monthly basis. Ensure financial results are prepared in accordance with the INEOS Group accounting manual.
- Manage HFM reporting, ensure financial results are entered into HFM and QlikView in accordance with the INEOS reporting timetable. Review HFM for Compounds Group and manage the resolution of any exceptions.
- Maintain and review internal controls for key business areas and processes.
- Responsible for the provision of financial support to the Aycliffe management team to fully explain results and variances to previous performance/plans/budgets, and to monitor and control working capital, in order that management can make sound business decisions.
- Deliver timely, reliable and accurate monthly performance reports for fixed costs and Capex. Monitor variable, energy and utility costs and raise any issues.
- Co-ordinate with the Aycliffe Management team to influence robust forward forecasting EBITDA and Cashflow processes for the Aycliffe site taking into account future forecast sales/margin/fixed costs information and forecast stock levels.
- Lead and manage the annual budgeting process for the Aycliffe site and assist in the consolidation of the Group results.
- Manage the preparation of annual statutory financial statements and tax returns for the Aycliffe site, dealing directly with local advisors. Act as main contact for INEOS Compounds Aycliffe audit.
- Responsibility for Aycliffe site relationship with external agencies in UK to ensure all local statutory requirements are met with regards VAT/Intrastat/PAYE & NI etc.
- Responsible for maintaining relations with UK banks to ensure they are able to meet current and future business needs, whilst working within the Compounds Group banking framework
- Responsible for Aycliffe site weekly cash flow forecast and provide support for Group cash flow forecasts as required. Manage the Aycliffe twice-monthly receivables securitisation reporting, submitting to the Enterprises central team and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Manage Group credit processes – reviewing customer risk, granting credit limits in line with the DoA and reporting on Group debtors.

Level of education & Experience in general
- Fully qualified accountant.
- 3 years+ post-qualification management and financial accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
