The post holder is responsible for defining and confirming the choice of waste disposal routes and coordinating the movement of all waste produced on our Runcorn and Northwich chemical sites in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner such that all regulatory requirements are fully complied with.
Accountabilities:
- Provide a waste service for INOVYN and third-party operators on Runcorn Site.
- Obtain and evaluate options for the disposal of waste; check and confirm legal compliance.
- Liaise with waste disposal operators to ensure waste is removed and disposed of in accordance with safe working practices.
- Manage the documentation, including the provision of all Hazardous Waste Consignment & Duty of Care documentation.
- Produce electronic data and accurately file records to support efficient cost transfers and completion of regulatory monthly and annual Environment Agency waste returns.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Good understanding of waste management legislation.
- Competent understanding of most aspects of SAPR3.
- Competent and confident with IT applications including all Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organisation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- High concern for standards.
