Emergency & Security Planning Manager

Main job purpose:

As the Company expert in emergency and security planning, the post holder provides leadership and strategic direction to all INOVYN UK sites to ensure emergency response and security systems comply with Company and external legal requirements. 

Key responsibilities & accountabilities:

  • Manage the Runcorn Site Emergency Services Department
  • Develop site emergency and security plans
  • Lead and manage the specification and execution of training exercises based on all credible scenarios identified under the COMAH regulations and security operational requirements
  • Manage gatehouse security and weighbridge contracts
  • Lead the development of up-to-date emergency and security operating instructions and associated audits

Key skills & knowledge required:

  • A qualification at graduate level (or equivalent) or post-graduate level in disaster management, emergency planning or security
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience within the field of emergency management or security
  • Working knowledge of COMAH regulations
  • An expert knowledge for codes of practice and national and international best practice within the field of emergency response
  • An experienced professional within the field of emergency response and security
  • Must be able to work in highly stressed and emotional situations and ensure that in emergency situations all team members have sufficient support and training to deliver their roles
  • A comprehensive understanding of risk associated with fire, gas release, environmental harm and the emergency management requirements
  • Must live in local area to Runcorn Site, to be able to provide front line medical response
  • Must be in good health due to physical demands of emergency situations.
