Electrode Coating Plant Operator - Shift

Main role purpose:

The post holder is required to be trained and competent to undertake all ECP4 process operations.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities:

  • Operate, monitor and maintain the plant in a safe and environmentally acceptable manner.
  • Operation of two spray coating lines and a variety of surface preparation equipment with the associated quality control activities.
  • Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks to INOVYN standards, and complete plant logs, e.g. coating control spreadsheet.
  • Packing of electrodes to agreed quality standards.
     

Key skills & experience required:

  • Able to demonstrate a high commitment to safety, health and environmental standards.
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent through experience in a production environment.
  • Self-managing with a high degree of independence.
  • Team player with a flexible approach.
  • Skilled communicator across all levels of the organisation.
  • Good knowledge of all ECP4 operations.
  • Knowledge of IT systems (e.g. Excel, Word, IFS).
  • Must be a non-smoker.

This is a shift role which operates on 4 on 6 off pattern.   Basic Salary and Shift Disturbance Allowance applicable.
