Electrical Systems specialist

Job Purpose
Ineos have committed to significant investment and remediation program over the next few years. A highly motivated Electrical Systems Specialist is required to join our Central Operations Support Team. This role is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to work within a plant area that has seen significant recent investment and includes a diverse array of equipment types. Further major investment continues in this plant area.
Principle Accountabilities
Carry out PAT testing, emergency light testing and lightning protection tests across the INEOS O&P Assets
Maintain and operate a total asset care service for all site systems equipment (design, maintenance, modifications, upgrades) to meet business HSE/reliability targets and comply with Ineos Grangemouth standards.
Investigate/examine all faulty equipment in order to accurately ascertain the root cause of faults, identify and implement repairs and make recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Actively assist and support contractors / vendors to ensure timely progression of maintenance activities
Observe/apply all health and safety rules, procedures, standards and behaviours at all times (e.g. Control of Work, COSHH, ATEX/Compex, 17th Edition, Manual Handling, Risk assessments, LOLER & PUWER etc. including the raising and follow-up of any issues/actions as appropriate).
Qualifications, knowledge and Skills
- Professional at all times, with drive/determination and a positive attitude.
- Clear and courteous communicator providing constructive feedback to improve the process
- Follows the rules, with attention to detail and pride in the quality of their work.
- Flexible and has the ability to work under pressure
- Proficient in the use of certain computer systems (Maximo, e-mail, MS Word/Excel etc.)
- A team player who takes responsibility for delivering their role and seeks out their next task
- Willing to learn and to share their knowledge/experience with others
- Some periods of inconvenience to support equipment out of hours.
- HNC / NVQ level 3 in a relevant discipline or equivalent work place experience within an electrical environment.
