A. Purpose /Role of the job /: Describe in 1 phrase what contribution the job is expected to make to the organisation’s objectives

Responsible for maintenance and smooth functioning of all Electrical systems HT/LT/DG sets/ VFDs/switch yard used in the plant by Implementation of best maintenance practices, PM/PdM schedule to reduce breakdown through SAP implementation and spares management in compliance to maintenance policy. Analyze the upset/failure and take corrective & preventive action through Root cause analysis to avoid recurrence of the problem and resolve chronic issues. Keep all drawings & documents updated and ensure availability of critical spares.

Ensure that all activities in Electrical department and by associated contractors are done in accordance with INEOS Styrolution SHE guidelines.

  • Compliance to INEOS Styrolution SHE guidelines.
  • Compliance to quality standard ISO-9001 and Environment Management System (ISO-14001).
  • Knowledge of techniques for efficient use of energy and plant operation.
  • Compliance to INEOS Styrolution IGGN guidelines.
  • Support in Energy standard ISO 50000 activities at all sites.

    External
  • Liaison with Statutory Authorities and timely compliance to MGVCL/ Electrical Inspectorate/ CEA and other legal requirement as applicable.
  • Effective contractor management with 3rd party contractors on site regularly and for specific shutdown and/or project activities on their site.

    C. Responsibilities/ Accountabilities of the job: Describe the main results expected from the job
  1. Key Result Areas: Incident free operations, Adherence to INEOS Styrolution SHE guidelines, Compliance with local regulations.

Major Activities:

  • Participate on regular safety training at site:
    • Safety rules and guidelines
    • Operating procedures
    • Incident sharing and learning
    • Permit to work and Risk Assessment, etc.
  • Active support to the safety culture at site and work safely for incident free operation.
  • Understand and follow annual SHE improvement plan for the site.
  • Work in line with SHE KPIs and Targets set by management from time to time.
  • Contribute to Behavior Based Safety (BBS) program at site.
    • Participate on training at site to take BBSO to next level of reporting.
  • Support Site SHE committee to resolve safety issues and drive SHE performance.
  • Be conscious that all incidents including Near Miss at site must be reported, investigated and action items must be tracked to closure.
    • Active use of KMS for incident reporting and investigation, MOC, action item tracking
    • Collaborate to track and close all SHE related action items from audit, plant walkthroughs.
  • Support the Asset Manager, responsible for the overall integrity of the site.
    • Contribute to INEOS Styrolution Asset Care program
    • Take responsibility for maintaining the asset and integrity of the protective system.
  • Follow site procedures aligned with INEOS Group Guidance Notes (IGGNs).
  • Accountable for
    • Following and practicing INEOS 20 principles of Behavior Safety and Process Safety at site through site rules and procedures
    • Following and practicing Life Saving Rules at site
    • Safety of other Employees, Contractors, Visitors and partners at site
    • Following Permit to Work as per the site procedure
    • Following Management of Change (MOC) as per the site procedure.
  • Responsible for
    • Participating in HAZOPs at site as per procedure
    • Tracking action items from HAZOP to closure.
  • Work in compliance with all legal regulations.
    • Adherence to site licenses and permits.
  • Participate on the INEOS Styrolution Sustainability program at site.
  • Stop work whenever there is an unsafe condition and immediately inform the Shift Leader and/or Head of Department.
  • Directly intervene with those in your working area not using PPE or not following INEOS Styrolution standards and procedures.
  • Maintain the respective workplace in order and clean, as per best practices of housekeeping.

Outcome: Zero incident/accident in the plant with sustainable and safe operation.

  1. Key Result Areas: Planning & Execution of Maintenance activities / planned shutdown.

      Major Activities:

    • Planning and execution of PM-Preventive maintenance, PdM-Predictive maintenance, Breakdown maintenance, Shutdown maintenance through SAP-PM module.
    • Asset Care management adopting best engineering maintenance practices.
    • Develop technical know-how & skill required for replacement & fitment of critical spare parts.
    • Maintenance & calibration of radioactive equipment with their legal compliances.
    • Responsible for efficient trouble-shooting of the plant problems.
    • Initiate cost reduction measures such as energy saving, in-house development & import substitution.
    • Prepare & updating plant equipment list/BOM/Task lists in SAP-PM module and Implement the same in totality in the plant. Review SAP-PM/MM module for updating (removing obsolete elements as well).
    • Analysis of the upsets / failures through Root cause analysis and take corrective & preventive action to avoid recurrence of the problem and resolve chronic issues.
    • Ensure availability of updated documentation such as P&ID, operation & service manuals.
    • Technical discussion, qualification and approval of Vendors (with SCM Procurement & Site). Vendor development. Detail guidelines to vendor to work.
    • Develop necessary technical knowledge & skill required in the department for replacement & fitment of critical spare parts.
    • Repair of faulty items and testing.
    • Maintenance budget management and controlling.
    • Extend maintenance support at other assets of INEOS Styrolution in India (R&D Center, Windmills, Kandla Port and Inter-Sites) as and when needed.
    • Preparation & Implementation of Maintenance processes, methods, SOPs/SMPs, Task lists according to the best maintenance practices.
    • Monitoring of MTTR/MTBF and identify/eliminate the Bad Actors to improve plant reliability and availability.
    • Data analysis (Cost & Efficiency) of the Department; including 3rd party contractors.
    • Efficiency improvement of electrical equipment.
    • Generation of power consumption reports and monitoring of electricity bills.
    • Advance detailed planning for jobs to be taken up during shutdown with man power (Internal, contractor and others), spares requirement and other required resources for timely completion of jobs within scheduled time.
    • Planning & execution of Motor overhauling in coordination with production
    • Planning & execution of maintenance of Invertor panels / Feeder / MCC / PCC/Transformer and switch yard.
    • Checking of cable termination/cabling/JBs etc
    • Upkeep of Electrical Documentation of the plant (Technical documentation including SLDs/ Control schematics/ O&M manuals/ Testing reports/ Thermography, etc. )

                      Outcome: Effective maintenance system in place for smooth operation, timely and safe completion of shutdown work.

  1. Key Result Areas: Spare parts management.

      Major Activities:

    • Planning and ensure availability of critical spares for smooth operation of the plant. Define and monitor through SAP.
    • Spare parts management with Inventory control & monitoring for all spares requirement.
    • Proper upkeep of spares with ready to use concept (and removal of obsolete spares from SAP & physical inventory).
    • Creation of SAP codes with complete technical specifications and raise PRs through SAP as and when needed.

     Outcome: Availability of required spares

  1. Key Result Areas: Implementation of SAP-PM module.

Major Activities:

    • Prepare & updating plant Equipment list in SAP-PM with BOM of their spares.
    • Prepare & updating PM plan and equipment Task lists in SAP
    • Updating of material master, identification and configuration of critical spares in SAP and monitor 

                their stock on regular basis.

    • Identification and deletion of duplicate codes.
    • Updating equipment list covered under PdM and plan for execution through SAP with verification of inspection after taking corrective actions.

Outcome: Effective implementation of SAP-PM Module and update of plant data in SAP.

  1. Key Result Areas: ISO and Audit compliances.

      Major Activities:

    • Keep and update records of preventive & predictive maintenance, calibration of Instruments and historical records of equipment as per the ISO requirement in SAP.
    • Quality Management System (QM-ISO 9001) and ISO 14001 Review and ensure that all documentation and compliances related to ISO are updated on time to avoid any NCR.
    • Legal compliances such as GEB related are done on time.
    • Support in ISO-50000 activity at the site.

       Outcome: Compliance of ISO and audit observations

         Major Activities:

  • Training: Responsible for technical & Safety training to Electrician / Wireman / Contract manpower, pertaining to

  • To ensure safe work practices and environment in plant.

F. Required profile:

Level of education & Knowledge:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical/Electrical & electronics) in 1st division
  • Fluent in English, Hindi / Gujarati (optional)

Experience in general:

  • 10 to 15 years of work experience in chemical/petrochemical plants

Technical skills:

  • Knowledge of various types of Electrical systems/ Equipment and their applications.
  • Understanding of production processes, Polymerization etc. (Preffered)
  • Able to understand and prepare P&IDs, PFDs, electrical drawings, SLDs and control drawings.
  • Working knowledge of SAP –PM/MM modules.
  • Knowledge of legal compliances such as GEB, CEA etc
  • Knowledge of condition monitoring of transformers and other techniques such as thermography.
  • Knowledge of Energy conservation measures, techniques and other cost saving methods.
  • Basic knowledge of Switch yard, DG sets, VFDs, UPS, PCC, MCC, substations, HT/LT switch gears, HT/LT Motors and protections, HT relaying, earthing and lightning protection system etc.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD

Legal Training Requirements:

  • Under the provision (111-A) of the Factories Act 1948, reading with Gujarat Factory Rules 1963 about General Health & Safety, Emergency response, handling of hazardous substance

Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs as needed.
