ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

INEOS have committed to significant investment and remediation program over the next few years. A highly motivated Team Leader is required to join our Central Operations Support Team on a permanent basis. This role is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to work within a plant area that has seen significant recent investment and includes a diverse array of equipment types whilst further major investment continues in this plant area.    

Key accountabilities

  • Lead, manage, develop, and deliver an Instrument, Control and Asset Electrical Assurance team structure with the team members to support to the O&P I&C TA and the O&P Grangemouth Asset Teams.
  • Lead the application of shared good practice, guidance, coaching, and training for Instrument/Electrical/Analyser/Control (I/E/A/C) Engineers, Supervisors and Technicians across the O&P Grangemouth assets to achieve the instrument engineering necessary to deliver legal compliance and asset targets.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain robust instrument Key performance Indicators, including inspection and audit functions, to define compliance against critical Asset based I/E/A/C safety routines to meet the O&P business requirements for service level, quality, cost and timing. 
  • Provide strategic input to asset projects, development, and turnarounds to meet the business demands and goals for integrity, reliability, timing and value.
  • Develop, Implement, and sustain the provision of an I/E/A/C GMPs and Standards system including the provision of subject matter expertise, on behalf of the O&P Instrument and Control TA, to maintain to comply with the law and national standards and to achieve business goals for the O&P Assets.

Please note we can accept applications from candidates out-with the Oil & Gas and Petrochemicals industry e.g. Food & Drink and Manufacturing industry experience. 

ABOUT YOU

You should:

  • Be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline e.g. Instrument Engineer, with Chartered (or equivalent) status. In lieu of the formal qualification we may consider candidates with extensive experience in a similar role.
  • Have knowledge of manufacturing operations, instrument maintenance, design and commissioning.
  • Demonstrate in depth/ expert knowledge of IEC 61511 and IEC 60079 and a close familiarity with other site standards and other relevant British & IEC Standards relating to process Instrument, analyser, and control equipment. 
  • Have good working knowledge of the law as it applies to the design, operation, maintenance and decommissioning of this equipment.
  • Have experience as an auditable system owner.
  • Have thorough and detailed knowledge of Process instrument and Instrument/Electrical equipment inspection and maintenance practices.
