BUSINESS CONTEXT:

Ethylene oxide (EO) is an important building block for the preparation of a wide variety of EO derivatives (EODs), including various surfactants, as well as a host of other chemical intermediates including Glycol Ethers, Polyethlene Glycols, and Ethanolamines. 

INEOS Oxide is one of the world’s leading producers of Ethylene Oxide (EO) and Ethylene Oxide Derivatives (EODs).  We currently have a total EO capacity of 920 kta spread across three different production units throughout Europe. These units have leading cost economics, due to economies of scale, state-of-the-art technology, strategic locations, etc. Our recently announced EO project in the US is targeting the fast growing merchant EO market, building on our experience and leadership position in Europe.

Purpose of the Job:

The individual will be responsible for the Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP) process for ethanolamines and for cost effective management of inventory and production planning for Ineos Oxide in North America.  The candidate will support all supply chain in technical SAP user matters. Normal activities will include monitoring contracts for compliance, handling planning day-to-day matters in North America.

Responsibilities AND Accountabilities

SHE

  • This position – and all positions – with the INEOS Oxide US organization requires that the incumbent commit to learning, following, and practicing INEOS 20 Principles of Process & Behavioral Safety as applicable to the position.  These Principles are posted throughout each Oxide facility and each employee must commit to following INEOS’ Life-Saving rules on a daily basis.  These are posted within each Oxide facility.
  • Reactive chemical testing & documentation

Supply Chain

  • Sales and Operations Planning
  • Responsible for inventory management of amines products NAFTA region
  • Proactive interaction with commercial team for assessment of forecast and demand requirements
  • Routine presentations, e-mails and meetings that effectively communicate inventory status/ delivery issues and risks
  • Implement and continuously improve OMP/Project Firefly.
  • Manage/develop tools and spreadsheets used for forecasting, production and sales of product until replaced by OMP/Project Firefly.
  • Liaise with Commercial and Manufacturing to set production rates
  • Oversee month end closing and balancing of inventories (including training & support of  co-workers)
  • Assist with negotiation and management of contracts with third party loading/storage terminals
  • Lead Monthly S&OP meeting
  • Manage Marine loading process for Supply Chain
  • Maintain proper inventory balances at third party terminal locations
  • Establish business inventory goals and KPIs
  • Identify current and potential product shortages, develop and execute recovery, advise interested parties of status and recovery plans

SAP User Focal Point

  • Interfaces between SAP experts and supply chain users to insure SAP data accurate and used productively by supply chain customers
  • Drives process for SAP improvements and tests SAP upgrades locally
  • Resolves issues and trains Supply Chain and CSRs on SAP
  • Creates new product codes and ensures accuracy in SAP

Skills/Competencies

Level of Education & Experience in general

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience in Customer Service & Logistics
  • 5+ years in Supply Chain

Technical Skills

  • Strong organisational skills required.  Multitask oriented.
  • Good oral and written communication. Independent, highly motivated
  • Computer Literate.   Deep knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • 5+ years experience, deep knowledge and proficiency with SAP (R3 & HANA)
  • Training in Sales & Operations Planning
