E/I Maintenance Supervisor 1

Main job purpose:
The post holder is responsible for the delivery of the C/E maintenance strategy by managing and developing the site services C/E tradesmen and completing all maintenance work safely, effectively and to the required standard.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Ensure equipment standards and specifications are maintained so that legal, Company and food safety (BRC) standards are adhered to and that current and future SHE targets are met.
  • Support the development and utilisation of work management systems to ensure all C/E work orders are identified, prioritised, planned and completed safely, on time, and to the required standard.
  • Supervise contractors (both within the maintenance team and as a service provider) to ensure they deliver work safely and to the required standard.
  • Ensure all maintenance spend linked to C/E work is approved and recorded by using the cost ledger, SAP and ensure all invoices are cross-referenced before signing.
  • Contribute to Codal compliance and the development of site engineering policies, organisation and maintenance fixed cost budget by supporting the Engineering Manager and Asset Engineers as required.

Key skills and knowledge required:

  • First-line manager with at least 5 years experience in engineering and maintenance with a C/E background.
  • Excellent adherence to SHE standards and Codal compliance.
  • Good understanding of the common process and material handling EI equipment.
  • Able to read P&IDs and EI drawings.
  • Working knowledge of standard IT systems - MS Office and SAP.
  • Strong influencing and coaching skills.
  • Methodical approach and good problem-solving skills.
  • Must display initiative, tenacity and concern for the impact.
  • Prepared to challenge conventional norms and provide alternative solutions.
  • Committed and flexible approach to work.
