The Role: The Director of Planning and Logistics will be responsible and accountable for upstream production planning, inbound logistics, port operations and efficient and timely delivery of finished vehicles to points of sale across 15-20 markets in the Americas Region.
This role will lead the production and logistics process across all internal stakeholders (central and regional), external Logistics Service Providers (LSP) and Retail Partners to ensure effective operation and continuous improvement of the logistics network for each market. The incumbent will work closely with regional and HQ teams to develop and implement a series of KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance against defined targets.

Duties include:
- Working in close collaboration with both INEOS HQ in London and the Hambach Manufacturing plant, manage all activities relating to production capacity planning, scheduling and fulfilment
- Creation of short- and long-term volume plans, in partnership with the Director of Sales and Fleet Operations, and ensuring that these plans are coordinated and implemented with central Volume Planning and Manufacturing teams
- Oversight of the outbound and inbound Logistics chain for vehicles destined to be produced and shipped for the Americas
- Successfully processing all importation and Customs Clearance documentation required to facilitate the smooth and uninterrupted importation of INEOS Automotive vehicles to all Americas markets, acting as owner of external Government and partner relationships in this process
- Management and oversight of regional Logistics Service Partners (LSPs) and leading all port operations to physically import, process and prepare new vehicles for sale, including any repair, rectification, uplift and value-added activities at Ports before onward transportation
- Lead the retailer / Importer wholesale process, working closely together with the Directors of Sales & Fleet Operations and Finance. Oversight of final port preparations, handover to internal logistics partners and delivery of vehicles to final destination
For our Director of Planning and Logistics role, we are looking for:
- First and foremost – the appetite and ability to thrive in uncertainty and create structure, clarity and process where none exists, motivating and inspiring your team, colleagues and business partners while doing so
- Experience in product and logistics processes in an automotive role with a Manufacturer / OEM, ideally with experience interacting with international importation and with various markets
- Understanding of and experience with regulatory issues across the Region
- Familiarity and confidence collaborating with a multitude of stakeholders, including retail network and dealers
- Evidence of working with multiple markets/regions highly beneficial
- Fluent Spanish language skills (highly desirable)
