Our Acetyls business is headquartered in London, with our Acetyls Technology team located at our UK manufacturing base in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire. Our Senior Technology Development Engineer is based in Hull.
About the Opportunity
The Laboratory Development Technician role is responsible for the planning and safe execution of experimental INEOS Acetyls technology development work involving process development, catalyst synthesis, experimental testing and analysis. The role includes laboratory SHE performance and commissioning, maintenance and operation of laboratory scale experimental capability, as well as undertaking detailed experimental data evaluation, scientific interpretation and written / verbal reporting.
About you
You will be a technician with an educational background in science/engineering and experience in relevant technology development or chemical manufacturing. You will have practical experience of laboratory, process development and pilot plant operations and analytical techniques acquired over a number of technologies or unit operations, and knowledge of chemistry, process catalysis, catalyst testing, data analysis/work-up and drawing insights from experimental data. You will be able to manage operations safely and understanding of processes such as management of change, control of work, COSHH and task risk assessments.
