Customer Service Representative Job Share

Main role purpose:

Part-Time/Job Share position

The post holder is responsible for handling customer interactions in an accurate and timely manner to ensure orders are met on time and in full.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities: 

  • Act as a focal point for customers placing orders, understanding their needs and handling various documentation requirements.
  • Ensure enhanced customer service is achieved using SAP for order processing.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with commercial colleagues to ensure an effective response to customer needs/enquiries.
  • Provide cover during absences and help train new or less experienced staff, working to a schedule appropriate for the customer portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with the business strategy, legal guidelines and agreed customer service procedures.

Key skills & experience:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Fluent in English; other customer languages would be an advantage. 
  • Excellent telephone manner along with written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good organiser, able to multi-task.
  • Good problem solver. 
  • Competent IT user including SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Relevant product/plant knowledge.
  • Contract and Competition Law awareness would be an advantage 
  • Able to challenge others to find the best solution.
