Condition Monitoring Technician - Runcorn Based

Main role purpose:

The post holder provides a condition monitoring service to the UK sites in order to ensure the safe and reliable operation of machines, as well as carrying out civil inspections in accordance with Company procedures ensuring planned timescales and agreed standards are met.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities:

  • Provide specialist technical support in the form of condition monitoring and equipment fault diagnosis to all production areas on the designated sites, with particular emphasis on equipment that is critical to safety and reliability. 
  • Monitor and report data from condition monitoring installations on the most critical machines and promote the application of condition monitoring on the designated sites.
  • Ensure reliability, availability and maintenance of a wide range of condition monitoring equipment to provide an efficient service.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in condition monitoring, to ensure that problems are diagnosed efficiently and accurately.
  • Survey, report and document asset condition from civil inspections into the Transform reporting system. 


Key skills & experience:

  • BTEC Level 3 in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of machinery construction.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel & Word report writing.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Clear communicator.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Flexible approach to changing priorities.
  • Holder of a current UK driving licence
  • This is a critical role that makes an important contribution to the site's management of safety and forms a part of our COMAH and other regulatory obligations.
