Your Career: As the Commercial Finance Analyst of INEOS Automotive you will work within a scale-up and fast-moving environment. You will be surrounded by a team of experts in their field and be given the autonomy and freedom to develop the role as we grow.
The Role: The aim of this role is to provide finance support the Commercial team and Commercial Finance team in all matters relating to Product, including maintenance of the pricing unit economics models, Options Business Case and Option packs, trim level models, Accessories Business Case and Product Budget.
The focus of the role is on supporting the Commercial team, but at the same time remaining independent, pragmatic, and objective to support the wider Finance team objectives. Key accountabilities include:
- Supporting the Senior Finance Business Partner on all financial aspects of developing and delivering the Commercial strategies including:
- Providing crucial assistance in producing and maintaining accurate Commercial finance models, analysing data and making recommendations.
- Identifying requirements and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Supporting the delivery of Options & Accessories work packages including:
- Monitoring and tracking the financial implications of product decisions on material cost, engineering investment and manufacturing effort, and reflecting these in the financial analysis.
- Management of the pricing unit economics files ensuring accurate data management.
- Assisting with the compilation of competitor analysis and comparisons.
- Assisting with the production of the monthly Product forecast and annual budget, including:
- Monthly actuals vs forecast analysis.
- Development and production of monthly cost reports.
- Purchase order reconciliations.
- Data extraction from SAP and other ad hoc tasks.
- Supporting Commercial Finance functions as in overall forecast and budgeting processes as required.

For the Commercial Finance Analyst we are looking for:
- Minimum of 3 years Commercial Finance or similar experience, preferably in Automotive or a technical environment.
- Commercial awareness, a positive attitude and “can-do” approach, comfortable to challenge at all levels.
- Ability to work well in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong Excel skills including the use of pivot tables and advanced formulae.
- Attention to detail and ability to quickly master complex requirements.
- Ability to present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritise workload.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build long term professional relationships at all levels.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Experience in building/maintaining complex financial models and clear presentation of financial data to non-financial individuals.
