CSR Manager

Our products are used in some of the most demanding applications and are fundamental raw materials for industry sectors as diverse as automotive; building and construction; paints and adhesives; healthcare and medical; personal care; pulp and paper; textiles; and water treatment.

We are looking for a CSR Manager to manage the Corporate Social Responsibility policy and objectives of INOVYN’s business and thereby support the overall Business Strategy. In particular, the role will take responsibility for defining, developing, and managing INOVYN’s overall CSR strategy.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Define and implement INOVYN’s CSR Strategy and Objectives

  • Develop INOVYN’s overall CSR strategy
  • Develop procedures and policies to strengthen INOVYN’s CSR activities
  • Steer and coordinate a range of activities and initiatives designed to have a positive impact on the position of INOVYN regarding both our internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordination and alignment of CSR activities vis-a-vis the INEOS Group/Carbon and Energy Network (CEN)

Define and manage INOVYN’s CSR certification policy

  • Define INOVYN CSR certification policy
  • Management of INOVYN’s external CSR EcoVadis scorecard with support from the appropriate business functions
  • Formation and management of a core team within each of the reporting categories so that good planning and mapping of both policies and areas for improvement (KPIs)
  • Engagement with other external verification bodies to better understand what they have to offer, what the business benefits to INOVYN will be and their scoring criteria

Develop and coordinate INOVYN CSR communications plan - including management and preparation of INOVYN’s Sustainability Report

  • Define INOVYN’s CSR communication strategy and plan
  • Coordinate INOVYN’s annual sustainability report and its dissemination to stakeholders including future materiality assessments 
  • Working with the Communications teams to prepare a communications plan to ensure core CSR information is effectively communicated and cascaded via various media
  • Prepare and implement CSR training programme for selected audiences
  • Lead on preparations for Customer/Investor CSR related presentations
  • Assist in support to local community projects thereby ensuring the company has a positive impact within our neighbourhoods

CSR Analysis Tools – test alternative CSR models to ensure that INOVYN is using the most robust methodologies and to use such models to further enhance INOVYN’s business and reputation

  • Identify and evaluate other CSR reporting and emerging criteria especially those that are likely to become mandatory for large businesses (e.g. CSRD, CSDD).
  • Prepare the business case for engagement of INOVYNs business towards these new standards and identify potential data gaps and/or areas of weakness.

Develop CSR KPIs across all 4 pillars of INOVYN’s Sustainability Strategy

  • Evaluate and further develop the most appropriate CSR KPIs across the key sustainability pillars of INOVYN and thereby support the teams responsible for their development.
  • Formation and leading of KPI sub-teams especially related to Value to Society, to ensure that Sites are well prepared for their reporting and challenges regarding KPI planning and future targets

Support embedding a CSR culture within INOVYN – this is a supporting role in aiding the Sustainability Manager to ensure that we develop a culture of CSR/Sustainability activities within INOVYN

  • Ensure CSR/Sustainability aspects are professionally deployed in the Strategy Review process
  • Assist the Sustainability Manager with a yearly INOVYN CSR/Sustainability Forum

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline
  • Previous experience of working within a sustainability or CSR position
  • Competent, knowledgeable, and strategic thinker who can work autonomously to deliver key requirements of the role
  • Good scientific/social knowledge with solid understanding and practical demonstration of CSR skills
  • Ability to understand and deal with regulation, politics, governance and standards within the chemical sector, at a national and international level
  • Results orientated, conscientious with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good understanding of commercial realities as well as business opportunities
  • Willingness to learn and further develop
