- Business Analysis
- Provide analytical support based on business need and prepare special reports on raw materials.
- Support Product Manager to develop marketing strategy, i.e. raw material assessment/supply & demand.
- Develop analytical reports on critical issues that impacts business from raw material perspective both internally and externally. i.e. co-producer raw material assessment.
- Prepare raw material supply and demand to support business planning & budgeting on but not limited to the following tasks:
- Short to midterm China and Rest of Asia raw materials environment rolling forecast as well as pricing for planning purpose.
- Global Methanol TAR(turnaround) schedule collection and assessment.
- Provide analysis and data set on raw materials for yearly budget review purpose.
- Provide raw material price forecast for monthly JV (joint ventures) margin assessment.
- Freight analysis: Provide Asia shipping market supply demand, competitive environment. and impact to business.
- Macro analysis support:
- Provide global, Asia regional and China economic update to support the team to better understand macro economy i.e. GDP, PPI, trade data, etc and its potential impact on business.
- Closely monitor and follow up on the macro level of unexpected event and the interpretation of those unexpected event’s potential impact to acetic acid and it’s value chain. i.e. Dual-Control policy impact in China.
- Key downstream application study and assessment to support our business strategy, planning and development i.e. Automotive, construction, etc.
- On request: Provide support per line manager request. i.e. support on the acetic acid and its downstream analysis; Customer events presentations consolidation…
