BACKGROUND

INEOS Forties Pipeline System (FPS) is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated energy transportation and processing business system serving the central area of the North Sea.

Oil and gas liquids from over 50 offshore fields and St Fergus flow through pipelines into FPS. FPS transports crude oil and gas liquids from offshore and onshore entry points, processes the liquids at Kinneil and redelivers to the customer Forties Blend crude oil at Hound Point and either Raw Gas or fractionated Gas Products at Grangemouth.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will have end-end responsibility for INEOS FPS assurance processes, including the development and oversight of the INEOS FPS risk based assurance plan.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Work with key business stakeholders to develop the annual assurance audit programme (internal & external) prioritised on risk and performance
  • Co-ordinate execution of the in-year assurance audit plan, monitoring and reporting delivery against plan
  • Manage reporting for all aspects of assurance and auditing
  • Conduct cross-business review and analysis of audit findings to identify insights and trends; elevating themes where necessary and reporting audit outcomes at Management System performance reviews
  • Monitor the close out of audit non-conformities and the effectiveness of improvement actions and ensure timely escalation of closure performance to FPS Management
  • Manage the FPS audit resource pool to ensure the assurance plan can be met, including mentoring, supporting and providing training to ensure the assurance process is followed
  • Own the FPS assurance tools (Synergi audit module, audit protocols, reporting templates etc.), ensuring ongoing suitability and effectiveness
  • Ensure improvements and learnings from assurance activities are captured and fed back into the Management System, thereby feeding the continuous improvement cycle
  • Support the management of contractor and supplier assurance, providing input to the third party evaluation process and where necessary direct or lead audits of key contractors and suppliers prior to contact award
  • Assurance expert and Management System Sub-Element owner for 12.1 Assurance, responsible for definition, development and maintenance of all assurance sub-element processes and documentation – continually improving how we conduct audits, leverage findings, learn and manage risk
  • Provide assurance input to annual Management System Review

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Requires occasional travel to INEOS FPS business locations and third part facilities as required

Qualifications, knowledge and Skills

  • Relevant degree in Engineering, Science, SHE, Business or equivalent
  • Lead/ Internal Auditor experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of Management Systems (H&S, Environment and/or Quality) and their implementation
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing audit and assurance processes
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence people across a wide range of disciplines to consistently embed assurance processes
  • Excellent IT and communication / interpersonal skills (verbal, interpersonal, written and presentation)
  • Experience of working within a complex, high hazard and highly regulated sector
  • Detailed understanding of the main internationally recognised System Standards (ISO 9001, ISO 18001, ISO 45001)
